My lipstick collection!

Αποφάσισα να κάνω μια παρουσίαση απο τα κραγιόν μου (μπορεί να κάνω και άλλες, με άλλη σειρά προϊόντων, δεν ξέρω). Νταξει, όχι οτι σας νοιάζει, αλλα για πακετάκι με την παρουσίαση
Δεν ξέρω αν είναι λίγα ή πολλά, αλλα αυτά έχω προς το παρόν.
Η αλήθεια είναι οτι μέχρι πριν απο 3 χρόνια, πρέπει να είχα το πολύ 2-3 κραγιόν και αυτά ήταν MLBB / nude αποχρώσεις. 
Είμαι λίγο επιφυλακτική με τα χρώματα. Οχι οτι τώρα είμαι πολύ τολμηρή όπως θα δείτε..

Θα ξεκινήσω με τα Nyx, μιας και τα αγόρασα μαζεμένα απο το e-bay, απο τις πωλήτριες που ανέφερα σε ένα πρόσφατο ποστ μου.

Στην πάνω σειρά έχουμε (Α->Δ) Iconic, B52, Minimalism, Mars, Hermes

Στην κάτω : Perfect, Decadent, Tea Rose, Milan, Frappucino

Αριστερά είναι το Sake (lip tint) , δεξιά το bling (black label ) και αυτό που μοιάζει με lip gloss είναι το San Paulo (soft Matte lip cream)

Τα υπόλοιπα κραγιόν μου είναι τα παρακάτω: 

Προσπάθησα (γιατί δεν το χω) να τα κάνω όλα μαζί ένα collective swatch στο χέρι μου. Εβαλα και νουμεράκια στο καθένα!

MAC Hot Tahiti lipstick – Swatch

Γειά σας κουκλες!!! 

Καιρός για ένα swatch-review απο κραγιόν, που έχω να κάνω πολύ καιρό .

To Hot Tahiti απο την πολυαγαπημένη μας MAC.

Το συγκεκριμένο είναι λίγο χειμωνιάτικο, και έτσι περίμενα να περάσει το καλοκαίρι για να το κάνω.

Eίναι απο τα αγαπημένα μου κραγιόν, ίσως το πιο αγαπημένο μου για αυτή την εποχή.

Η αποχρωση του είναι… Δεν ξέρω πως να την περιγράψω!!!!  Ψάχνοντας στο ίντερνετ και άλλα reviews και swatches το διάβασα ως ” Soft Reddish Coral” ”A red with a tinge of orange and pink” ” berry/red/rose” , ” mauv-y red with hints of coral” . Νομίζω οτι όλες οι περιγραφές ταιριάζουν, εξαρτάται τον ”καμβά”. Δηλαδή, στο χέρι μου που είναι κατάλευκο δείχνει κάπως έτσι :

 Στα  χείλη μου όμως (όχι στο χέρι) – και με ”δικά μου λόγια”  θα το έλεγα ένα ανοιχτό μωβο-berry προς wine . Nαι, ξέρω, σας κατατόπισα!
Επειδή με τα λόγια και τις περιγραφές  όμως δεν το χω, και δεν πιάνω μια μπροστά στην Μοιραράκη, ορίστε πως φαίνεται στα χείλη μου:

Είναι λίγο sheer, αλλα αφήνει πολυ ωραία τελείωμα , και ενυδατώνει τα χείλη. Δεν θα ελεγα οτι είναι ”στο χρωμα των χειλιών” (ή αλλιώς my lips but better), μιας και είναι λίγο πιο σκούρο για ανοίκει σε αυτή την κατηγορία. Είναι όμως ένα πολύ ευκολοφόρετο χρώμα, όχι μόνο για καθημερινή χρήση αλλα και για πιο βραδάκι .. Φαίνεται πιο έντονο με πιο σκούρο φωτισμό πάντως.

Θεωρώ οτι το συγκεκριμένο κραγιόν είναι πολύ underrated, και απορώ γιατί!

Το χρώμα είναι υπέροχο, είναι ένα χρώμα που ταιριάζει σε όλες, και είναι πολύ ευκολοφόρετο.

Θα το αγοράζατε? Θα πάρετε κανα καλούδι απο την MAC τώρα που έχει -35%

Α, και προτέινετε κανα πραγματικά MLBB χρωματάκι , μιας και θα κάνω την βολτίτσα μου απο κει!

How I fell in love with a lipstick color, ELF – Voodoo

Hello beauties.

Its ELF time again.

I was about to make a review about some ELF products all together, but I hadn’t really tried this lipstick before. Once I did it, I had to post about it seperately.

There was not long ago that I said that I don’t usually try darker lipsticks, because I prefer ”safer” colors. Being pale in my skin, with dark hair, and big lips for my face, a too bright, or too red color for me is very risky.

I can’t really describe how much I loved this color. From the moment I tried it , I … just loved it !  It might just be me, and you might disagree with me, that’s why I ll swatch it and I expect your opinion as well.

Elf says : Spicy Warm Red Creme

I don’t know how exactly to describe it, its like the color of cherries? Wine red? Don’t know, its just looking great 😉

 

 

 

Looks  just okay, isn’t it ? But look it on my lips…

Korres lipstick swatches – soft touch lip pen & guava lipstick.

Hello beauties!

I am so sorry for being absent for that long, but I am (still) out of Athens, I use and older-than-death-PC, plus I was sick for over a week, and didn’t really have the energy to blog.

Before doing any other swatch, I realized that I had 2 Korres lippies that I forgot.

Many times I buy a product, don’t like it atm, and then remember it and use it again.

This time is Korres’ soft touch lip pen in ”dark pink” and Korres’ guava lipstick in nude.

 

     

 

And here they are swatched in my hand

There is no need to say that I prefer the dark pink over the nude. The nude isn’t exactly nude, its more orangy than it should be, so, now I remember why I didn’t really enjoyed it in the first place. Dark pink is a MLBB color, that I love.

(Something I remembered. I recently bought a lipstick from a brand named ”prestige”, and while from the outside looked like pink, was very orangy. The lipstick quality is amazing, but the color is bad, I might swatch it soon. Greek readers, have you ever tried prestige?)

But, out of those two, I prefer the quality of the guava lipstick. Its more moisturizing and glides perfect when applied. While the Soft touch lip pen (apricot line?) is very stable, and has a veeery good staying power, its more ”dry”. Not so on the lips, but in the touch of it.

I wear the pink very often, but the nude, not. Only with a lipgloss.(Its a shame I can’t use it as much as I want)

Nyx Black label swatch : Bling

Hello Beauties….

How have you been? I had a bad time in  holidays since I got sick.. again.. Ever Xmas I m getting sick :S

I am still not totally okay, but , in better condition…

I know, I know its unacceptable for me that I haven’t update my posts for too long.

The think is that I had an 6 y.o camera of 6Mpx, that I was using. During holidays I got a new one of 12Mpx, but I can’t really use it the same.

The photos tent to get lighter, so I tried 3 times to swatch Bling, and couldn’t see the color (I saw in reality), in the photos…

I did something different today, its not that its the best thing I can do, but anyway…

This is Nyx Black Label lipstick in Bling. Very popular color, I could say…

About Black Label series….

Well, Black label is indeed different from the round lipsticks series.. Not only in price, but in quality, smell, packaging…

Its NOT more pigmented but its more moisturizing, has a bit longer staying power, and smells better. The packaging looks more ”high quality”, but I prefer round lipstick’s more… Smaller, and fits better in smaller handbags/clutches.

The Black Label Bling…

Bling is a neutral color, for every day. I can’t really describe it , its surely pink, but its very.. grey. I mean, its kind of a boring pink with grey undetones?

Being pale myself, NC20, BUT with dark brown hair/brows and green eyes, and naturally NON-blushing cheeks, I wanted something to look more… alive in me.

I usually have the corpse look, so this doesn’t really help

It is a beautiful color, actually. I just need to year it with more strong eye makeup, I guess…

So.. Yesterday I went to Hondos Center (kind of Greek version of Sephora – more popular in Greece than Sephora- ) to buy a nail polish of my fave brand seventeen.

Something caught my eye, and was a cosmetics stand of the German brand ”essence”. Essence is super cheap, with okay quality. I first saw it 3 years ago to a (business)  trip I had to Germany. It had some football matches so colleauges were watching football and I decided to go shopping instead. I bought some nail polishes and lipglosses back then. I remember loving the polishes 🙂

So, I got my self an eyeshadow base, a lipstick (around 2.5€) , a nail polish and a dry-fast nail drops (yes, it IS useless but anyway)….

Together with Nyx’s Heather and Frappucino, I am going to swatch essence’s no #53 ”All about cupcake”.

This time my photos are very -very crappy, my camera is old, and probably in its last days,too… Its only 6mP . I have it for like .. 5 years !!!

Here is Nyx’s Frappucino:

 

Frappucino is an orangy-pink-brown-nude whatever color… Its a best seller, but its not MY color.

Its not that is bad, with certain make-up will actually look better, but its not that its my favorite either. Its not because of the color itself, but because of MY colors.

I am very pale myself (NC20) and very ”deadly-white”, too. You know, my cheeks are never naturally blushed, my undertones are yellow,etc….

Here is Nyx’s Heather :

This color is very-very creamy. Its so much creamy that seems like shimmering while it is not.

I was kinda dissapointed on Heather to be honest . I thought it was a natural color , on the purple side (which it is ), and it looks great in the photos but …

…..Its not that  flattering in reality.

It seems ”fake” in lips (do I make sense?) , and makes teeth look more yellow. Maybe its not flattering to me though, I don’t know..

And here is Essence’s All about cupcake. (last photo is my bare lips)

    

Its sheer.Very sheer. It gives you that pinky-natural color, but its almost like wearing a lip balm. Compared to my bare lips, it gives just a pinky glimpse of color.

It has a nice smell which I can’t really tell what it is, but a bit ”cheap-quality” packaging, though its a modern-looking packaging…

Bottom line?… Hm, I don’t know. I can’t really tell about ”All about cupcake” since It gives only a little color. No negative thoughts for sure.. But I.. don’t know..

Today I received my last order of Nyx with:

Round Lipsticks: Cocoa – Perfect – Pumpkin Pie – Heather and Hermes

(I already have Mars,Minimalism,Milan, Tea Rose, Frappucinno and B52)

Mega shine Lipgloss : Juicy Red and Tea Rose

(I already have Smokey and natural)

Round Lipgloss : Apricot and Pinky Natural

(I also have the Lip Spa in Sake color)

I also bough MAC Mineralize SPF foundation (NC20) , Korres lip Butter ( Peach and Rose ) , as well as  Korres Cherry gloss in Nude

I will start with swatching B52 and Milan…

But I will continue with everything requested from you from those listed above.

I have a huge list of nail polishes too, as well as other cosmetics, but I want to swatch those first…

Nyx swatches : Minimalism and Mars

Here we go again!

I recently discovered the brand Nyx, since its not available in my country – Greece.

Before ordering I read many reviews , so I decided to give it a try. Its very inexpensive, so it was worthing the try.

Up until now, I have only 6 round lipsticks ( I m waiting for another 6, and I ll order some more, too). They arrived in 1 + 5 . The single one, was ordered by another supplier, who also had the new shades, and this one is Minimalism

I just wanted to pointed out, because there is a difference between them, and its the smell. I read about the smell before getting mine, and when I got minimalism (this arrived first) I was ” But it smells okay”. Then I got the rest…

It has a soapy smell, that in the start, couldn’t help but notice. It goes off soon, at least.

I don’t like swatching in my hands, as to show the real color, should be swatched in lips.

And ok, I know. I have really big lips, with many ”wrinkles” and not well shaped (and sensitive skin around, that’s why they are red around the lines) , but… what can I do? This is what mother nature does….

I won’t post indoors photo, cause it is really misleading with that shitty camera of mine (Also, excuse me for the quality ) my skin looks yellow, and it doesn’t help the swatch at all,so.. only outdoors photos!

Minimalism:

 

Minimalism is a nudish color, with pinkish to mauve tones. For me it is my-lips-but-better, and great for everyday, as it is not too strong.

Mars:

 

Mars is a browny nudish color. (I didn’t apply very carefully so you can see my bare lips color as well. LOL)

I liked both, but minimalism more.  Its more ”lively”.

As far as Nyx in general is concerned ……

Pros:                                                                                             

Great Variety of colors.

Moisturizing

Cheap                                                                                    

Cons:

Soapy smell in the older shades

Not great staying power ( I don’t really care about it)

Not available to Greece

Now, fellow princesses…
