E.l.f Blushes = Tickled Pink and Candid Coral

Hello beauties.

Here I am. I decided to make a blush swatch, I am not sure if I made the right decision though.

My camera is not the best, and the shades I chose are very light (I am not very good in applying blush, so I don’t buy darker shades, I am afraid to be a clown, actually).

So I decided to swatch my new – beautiful blushes – of Elf.

Candid Coral, a corl with gold shimmer blush, also known as a good dupe of Nars Orgasm and Tickled Pink, a very very fresh and beautiful pink.

So here they are…

Left is Candid Coral, right is Tickled Pink (beautiful, aren’t they)

I had a really hard time to swatch them in my arm, so this is the best I could do

Candid Coral is the one in the top, and tickled pink the one in the bottom

And now, show time…

I don’t think you have seen my fugly face yet, so here I am . Yes, I am wearing my PJs, yes, with no other make up one, yes, my brows are not fulle plucked (I m trying to make them ticker actually) and yes, with jungle hair. So please be polite.

(Left ones are Tickled Pink,left ones are tickled Pink, or easiest method, when you see my ear ring, then its tickled pink)

Bottomline, I love them. Its what I need. I don’t like very strong colors, I can’t work with them. Also with my skin tone, any strong color will appear so fake, and I prefer natural blushing. And to be honest, the photos doesn’t show how pigmented they really are. Coz they are way more than what you see here

I always lived next to the beach, so I d choose a non-coastial place. Salzburg was magical when I visited.

I want to post what I got for presents for my birthday, my Elf Haul and a palette that was in a magazine.

There was an 30% off, and I didn’t miss the chance to order them. I was going to anyway, using my free shipping code (by Fenzy app) , but that was even better.

More specifically I ordered the following — white a bit of comments (no reviews or swatches yet)

Eye Widener in White – Its not white, its pearly white. I wanted it to be matte white, but no harm,  its okay

Kabuki Brush – Love it

Blush Brush – Its for a friend, didn’t test it , but I am sure it rocks :p

All Over Color Stick in Pink lemonade – Nice, lovely color and great application

Lipstick in Voodoo – Beautiful color, I love the smell of the lipstick

clarifying pressed powder in Rosy Beige – I am the most dissapointed by that. Darker than it looks. But won’t go wasted, maybe I d use as a contour.

Tinted Moisuriser SPF 20 in Porcelain – Fits my skin nice, like it . (haven’t test it all over my face though)

luscious liquid lipstick in Ruby Slipper – I though I m gonna hate it , coz it has glitter (that is not visible in the site photos), but turned out to look very nice .

And day to night beauty on the go palette. – Beautiful pallete. I prefer the natural colors more.

Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 in Rosy beige – Not my color at all. Way more darker, and.. yellowish! I picked the rosy, to avoid yellow. :S This will go wasted. Can’t use it at all.

Shimmer Eyeliner Pencil in Precious Pink – Nice.

Studio Blush in Tickle Pink and Candid Coral – Love – love – love them ♥

 Presents.

20 something years ago, at 28th of February, a little girl was born…

This lil girl grow up, had many friends, and some of them that were in her hometown, got her some presents (all of them, shirts).

My lovely Katerina, got my this shirt. Its a lovely shade of green, sporty style, that will be great with sport trousers, or jeans and chucks.

My other lovely friend, and future sister in law (she is my brother’s amazing girlfriend) , Aphrodite , got me this cartoon shirt.

Last but not least, my friends Artemis and Dimitra, got me another present, a pink shirt, with grey/pink animal prints as a stamp.

But I went and change the shirt. The shirt was amazing, the color was fantastic, but… I don’t wear extra small. Even though I d like to fit even in Small, I don’t.

My boobs were going to explode in there, and the belly was extra visible. Sorry girls for changing it, but there was no pink or other sizes in other colors of the same shirt available.

So I got this dress (its beige and BLUE in reality) and a pouch instead. I was so sad that couldn’t have the same they got me

Magazine gift – Avon Pallete

My last new thing, was this palette from Avon (I think it was in Vogue gr)

And here is swatched in my arm. Its is supossed to be White – purple – grey and dark purple/greyish.

Needless to say that the dark purple is a fail, and looks like grey. The other are quite nice.

Korres lipstick swatches – soft touch lip pen & guava lipstick.

Hello beauties!

I am so sorry for being absent for that long, but I am (still) out of Athens, I use and older-than-death-PC, plus I was sick for over a week, and didn’t really have the energy to blog.

Before doing any other swatch, I realized that I had 2 Korres lippies that I forgot.

Many times I buy a product, don’t like it atm, and then remember it and use it again.

This time is Korres’ soft touch lip pen in ”dark pink” and Korres’ guava lipstick in nude.

There is no need to say that I prefer the dark pink over the nude. The nude isn’t exactly nude, its more orangy than it should be, so, now I remember why I didn’t really enjoyed it in the first place. Dark pink is a MLBB color, that I love.

(Something I remembered. I recently bought a lipstick from a brand named ”prestige”, and while from the outside looked like pink, was very orangy. The lipstick quality is amazing, but the color is bad, I might swatch it soon. Greek readers, have you ever tried prestige?)

But, out of those two, I prefer the quality of the guava lipstick. Its more moisturizing and glides perfect when applied. While the Soft touch lip pen (apricot line?) is very stable, and has a veeery good staying power, its more ”dry”. Not so on the lips, but in the touch of it.

I wear the pink very often, but the nude, not. Only with a lipgloss.(Its a shame I can’t use it as much as I want)

Have a look of both in my lips, and decide yourselves as well

How to work with Katie Holmes / Camille Belle eyes ?

Hello again,

Second post in a row, but I really have some questions

I have seen numerous tutorials of eye make-up, and when I am trying in reality, they such on me . Yes, I am not that good in eye-make up, but neither my eyeshape helps.

My eyes have the Katie Holmes / Camille Belle thing, which is : The outer corner of the eye, is lower than the inner. Its also called sleepy/downy eyes.

Basically, this is what I am talking about

 

 

Have you got any tips how to make them look less sleepy or downy?

If you search their photos, you ll see that most of times, their eyes look not downy at all, but I can’t do it

Θα ήθελα κάτι να ρωτήσω εσάς τις Ελληνίδες blogger, και μιας και δεν ξέρω πως λέγονται ακριβώς στα Αγγλικά, ρωτάω στα Ελληνικά!

Ξέρετε τίποτα για την αντιμετώπιση των πανάδων? Για να ”ξεθωριάζουν” ή να καλύπτονται?

Η μαμά μου είναι γεμάτη στα χέρια, και έχει απογοητευτεί πολύ… Δεν είναι μεγάλη σε ηλικία, για να πεις οτι είναι απο το γήρας, απλώς έχει πάρα πολλές φακίδες σε όλο το σώμα, και απο τον ήλιο έχουν γίνει πιο εντονες, και στα χέρια γίνανε έτσι..

 

For my English readers, I just want to ask if you know how to make them fade, or its the best product to cover a thing like this.

Its like big freckles, but they are not from age, rather than sun, and her being very freckled and blonde.

Zebra nail tutorial!

Hello beauties!!! I know I still don’t post very often.

But here I come with another nail tutorial!

What you need is:

A white nail polish (with fine brush, or seperate brush)

a red nail polish (same with white)

a black nail polish

and a base coat (and top coat of course)

I chose a Keratin base coat, to enrich my nails a bit.

So, apply the base, and the french manicure them with Black

So, from the top edged corner of the tip, draw a line, almost till the 70-80% of the total nail lenght

You can either do the same from the other side (drag the line till the 70-80%)

Or you can draw a smaller line (thicker maybe) and even play joining the first and the third one

I double-layered them later, cause my white is not that good.

One last step is just to draw a red line on the bottom of the french mani

And voila

This zebra stuff work better in long nails.

My thumb nail broke, and it looks awful with the zebra..

Easy, isn’t it ?

You can adjust the thickness of the white line, and do it as slim/fat as you want

In an older time I made it as I show you there,

I had longer nails (acrylic, lol) , and finer brush

My wishlist – February

Hello there, here I am again!!!

 

So, I was thinking of making a wishlist post, and … here it is…

 

There are some items at the moment that I want, but for some reasons (explain below), I don’t have.

I am not so good with make-up, so you will suprised to see that there are much ”must have” that I do NOT own .

So, here is my wishlist :

- Eos Lip Balms.

First time I saw them, I fell in love with them. The cute little sphere is just so… cute! I read some reviews, and also seemed okay (not exceptionally great) so I always wanted to buy them. I can find them on e-bay or online shop.

But the truth is , EOS lip balms cost around 3 dollars there (-> USA) . I will buy them at least 12 (price and shipping). Although 12 dollars is not much of an amount, 4 times the price of it, is … I just think its stealing…

- Lip Revlon Butters.

Same case as above. Plus, Revlon IS available to Greece, so I just have to wait when this will come here. I guess.

 

- The infamous blush of Nars – Orgasm

This is something I probably won’t buy . I have some/enough  high-end products, but I wouldn’t spend 30 € for a Blush, especially when I am not earning much at the moment, with the salary cuts, the extra taxes – haratsi,  and without knowing what happens next..

I am probably going to buy a  cheaper dupe  like Sleek,Milani or  Elf

However, I d love to have it…

- Naked pallete by Urban Decay

This is something that I am going to buy.Yeah, i know I am late to buy this already. The colors seems colors of my range , beautiful, and affordable pallete (compared to what it gives you) .Probably will be the present to my self for my birthday (28th of February). Probably…

-Hot by Givenchy

This is my all time favorite perfume. I want it , but it is discontinued. Every friend of mine that used it -> fell in love with it. Everyone that smelled it, compliment me. So sexy …

Do you know any ”dupe” of this?

- Shu uemura lash curler.

This is also something that I will buy as well. Although 20€ for a curler is a bit pricey, I think its worth the money. I never use mascara without curling my straight eyelashes, so using a great curler, is a must, right?

 

Side note :

I had the wishlist in my notes on blackeberry. I just write the key words so I can remember.

E.l.f Super glossy lip shine (spf 15) – Malt Shake – Swatch

Here I am , lately posting more often than before and I hope I ll keep it up this way..

Not long ago, actually, only a couple of days, I got my first order from Elf.

I decided to swatch some products, and I ll start with the ”Malt Shake” lipgloss.

 

I will also swatch some face products, don’t worry, I am not hiding my face, its just that I am not that good with make up stuff.

Anyway….

I wasn’t  intending of bying it, since I have lots of similar stuff. But then, I googled ”Top Elf products” and this particular shade and product came up with many personal lists, so , I gave it a try.

 

When you first see the tube, looks something like  brown or transparent choco-something color.

I was kinda dissapointed on that, but I gave it a try anyway.

 

Wrong me! The lipgloss, of course, gives what promises, the lipshine. The ”Malt Shake” tone, is a very natural, ”how my lips should be” color. Like very natural.

I don’t have very pigmented lips, so it really gives me a beautiful color!

This is my bare – chapped – lips  /  half applied / fully applied

There is huge difference, yet, the color is natural to the lips.

 

 

I think what also makes it so popular is that it compliments every skin tone and lips. Its just give more color to less pigmented lips.

About the product itself, It has a good staying power, nice neutral smell, has SPF 15, easy-to-use tube, but the only negative is that it is sticky, something that I dislike.

But then again, it has some many positives, that the stickiness itself can’t stop me for have it on my bag everyday
